Please above link re presentation from the recent Key Stage Four Infomation Evening on Thursday 28th September 2017
Our Key Stage Four begins in Year 9, which allows us to deliver a broad and detailed curriculum to help prepare students for the demands of the new GCSEs, which will be first examined across most subjects in 2018. The new GCSEs have increased content and most have no coursework element and so the final grade relies on more, longer examinations. This puts an increased pressure on our students and we would like to show you how the new courses work so that you are able to fully support your son/daughter through the process.
The Key Stage 4 Information Evening provided an opportunity to discuss the new style of GCSEs, particularly in the core subjects of English, maths and science. The presentation (see link above) provides invaluable information about the new 1 to 9 grading, how we will measure progress across the year, and how you can keep on track with your son/daughter’s progress.
