Sixth Form - Applications & Prospectus



Applications are now open for places in our Sixth Form for September 2019.

Please take a look at our prospectus which gives you a flavour of the culture and ethos of the Coleshill School Sixth Form, perhaps best summarised by our twitter hashtag  #aiminghigh.

The accompanying subject booklet explains all the courses in detail and explains the entry requirements.

Choosing subjects sometimes represents something of a challenge. The most important thing is to match your choices to your University and Career plans and think carefully about those subjects you are most likely to succeed in.

Mr Owen and the sixth form team are always available to give advice about appropriate choices and the UCAS widget (click the link on our Higher Education page) is a great place to start researching what Universities want from you in terms of subject combinations.

The application process:

Coleshill students

Complete the application form which can be downloaded via the link below. Please note the space for the personal statement and take your time with this to create the right impression. The deadline for applications is Friday 18th January 2019.

During February all students will be invited for an interview with a senior member of staff where course choices will be discussed in the light of mock results.

Offers of places will be confirmed in writing within a week of your interview.

Offers will be confirmed on the publication of GCSE results.

External students

We always welcome applications from students who are completing GCSEs at other schools. The deadline for external students is much more flexible and we can take applications up to the beginning of the school year. Once we have your application the interview process will follow the same pattern as for Coleshill students.
